Brescia: la Leonessa d’Italia si impegna in un’originale raccolta fondi

La ditta bresciana Isinnova propone una raccolta di fondi per la donazione di stampanti 3D, e del materiale per la stampa, da distribuire ai Paesi in difficoltà contro l’attuale pandemia di COVID19 e anche in ottica futura.

L’obiettivo è permettere di produrre autonomamente pezzi per i respiratori o altro materiale, di difficile reperimento a causa dell’emergenza o per la scarsità di forniture. Il progetto si completerà con la realizzazione di una piattaforma online di scambio di conoscenze in merito a questa risorsa tecnologica.

Isinnova ha inizialmente collaborato con l’ospedale di Chiari, producendo in 3D valvole Venturi da connettere ai respiratori in uso nel reparto di terapia sub-intensiva dell’ospedale, per i malati COVID19.

Successivamente, l’azienda ha accolto l’originale idea del dottor Renato Favero, che ha pensato di sopperire alla mancanza di attrezzatura sanitaria attraverso un nuovo dispositivo: una maschera “Easybreath”, già prodotta dalla Decathlon a fini sportivi, a cui agganciare una nuova valvola (valvola Charlotte), in grado di collegare la maschera stessa ad un erogatore di ossigeno, realizzando una maschera respiratoria di emergenza.

La valvola Charlotte costituisce dunque un ulteriore e importante contributo alla cura dei malati di Coronavirus, per questo Isinnova ne offre gratuitamente il progetto sul proprio sito internet www.isinnova.it. Una questione da risolvere si è rivelata quella della effettiva disponibilità della tecnologia 3D per quei paesi dove le stampanti 3D sono al momento poco diffuse.

In molti Paesi mancano le risorse economiche per l’acquisto di queste stampanti, che anche di fronte all’attuale pandemia dimostrano tutta la loro versatilità.
Da qui nasce l’idea della raccolta fondi, realizzata con il sostegno di varie Onlus.

Brescia: “the Lioness of Italy” engages in an original fundraiser

The Brescia-based company Isinnova is proposing a fundraising campaign for the donation of 3D printers, and printing materials, to be distributed to countries in difficulty against the current COVID19 pandemic and also with a view to the future.

The aim is to allow the production of parts for respirators or other materials, which are difficult to find due to the emergency or shortage of supplies. The project will be completed with the creation of an online platform for the exchange of knowledge to help with this technological resource.

Isinnova initially collaborated with the hospital in Chiari, producing 3D Venturi valves to be connected to the respirators used in the hospital’s sub-intensive therapy department for COVID19 patients.

Subsequently, the company took up the original idea of Dr. Renato Favero, who thought of making up for the lack of medical equipment through a new device: an “Easybreath” mask, already produced by Decathlon for sports purposes, to which a new valve (Charlotte valve) could be attached, capable of connecting the mask itself to an oxygen dispenser, creating an emergency breathing mask.

The Charlotte valve is therefore a further important contribution to the treatment of Coronavirus patients, which is why Isinnova offers the project free of charge on its website www.isinnova.it.
One issue to be resolved was that of the actual availability of 3D technology for those countries where 3D printers are currently not very widespread.

Many countries lack the economic resources to purchase these printers, which even in the face of the current pandemic show all their versatility.
Hence the idea of fundraising, realized with the support of various Onlus. To confirm the seriousness of the initiative, the number of donors is increasing in these hours.
